Ok, so here it is. This is my receptionist. Her hair is probably 80 % gray and colored with a level 8 and bleach hi-lites.After the treatment Her hair feels great ! The product spread nicely and as you can see she has a boatload of hair . The recommended amount is 2-3 capfuls of product. We used 4 on her. We let it air dry mostly then just hit it quick at the end with a big round brush, very little. Very cool. I posted it on our facebook page and am hoping to get booking some for $250 to $300. Let me know what you think. Thanks Jax

Looks nice. I don't understand what you mean by airdry and then a quick hit with the brush??? Is that after you dried and ironed it and washed it again, or instead of?

Let me explain ( was late last night, I was tired )
With this Brazilian Blow out the process is this: clarify until squeaky clean apply lotion in thin sections and comb through hair Blow dry as flat as possible Flat iron Rinse Apply conditioning masque for 1 minute Then blow dry as normal without having to re-flat iron But as it goes when you work at the salon.........we ran out of time at the end and we just let her air dry AFTER the procedure was done. You saw her hair in the before when she air-dry's it so it was amazing, all we had to do then was finish it lightly with the round brush and blow dryer. Hope that explains it a bit better , any more questions let me know. Also with this brand you can shampoo right away , no 3 day wait. |

How smokey/smelly was is during the flat iron process? How in the heck do you get the tangles out of wet, clarified, unconditioned curly hair? Thats the part that gives me the willies.

Thanks for that Jaxsnip. It makes sense now. I went to their website last night. I am wondering if you can get this up here in canada, specifically Alberta. I have lots of clients with this type of hair that I think would benefit from this. Much faster than the grund one I do now. I think that both the grund and this have their place so am interested in trying it.

Bart - what's the difference between this one and the Grund? Are you having good experience with the Grund? How does it compare to the Rusk Anti-curl?

I actually like the grund much better. It leaves the hair softer and smoother. I also like that you can perm over the grund if the client decides to go curly again. It is time consuming though. It is about 4 to 6 hours for longer hair.
I like the idea that the brazilian blowout is 90 min. In fact, I had a new client in this morning and we were talking and she would pay for the convenience of 90 min and pay the same as for the longer time treatment. I never really liked the rusk anticurl myself. |

The brazilian blow out (keratin treatment products) are different that the chemical process of the rusk anit curl (which is more like a straight perm).
The keratin treatment products just coat the hair and as the coating wears off the hair should go back to the original state before the treatment so you can do it on any type of hair and it makes it feel smoother. It doesn't make all hair straight some hair it just makes wavy but it does make all hair less fuzzy and more silky. Is the Grund a chemical perm? i.e. Solution 1 process rinse dry flat iron, neutralize, rinse dry flat iron..
